About Me
Hello, my name is Jane Dring, born and raised in the UK I now run my English speaking, talking therapy practice in Amsterdam. Alongside my practice, I am a counsellor for the senior pupils at The British School of Amsterdam.
Prior to my counselling practice I was co-founder of a not-for-profit coaching organisation, clients included local government, community, adolescent services and the criminal justice system. My coaching practice showed me the severity of trauma, which was what led me to retrain as a counsellor. I now have a particular interest in anxiety, trauma, and the quieter struggles that often go unseen.

Prior to 2010, I spent 17 years in high-pressured roles within the apparel industry. Working alongside creatives every day gave me insight into the weight of perfectionism, vulnerability, and the emotional labour that often goes unseen. During this time, I was also living as an expat in three different countries. Those experiences gave me a deep understanding of the expat journey—with its opportunities, challenges, and everything that comes with building a life away from home

I value the trust my clients place in me. It’s a privilege to offer a safe, non-judgemental space where we can work together—whether you’re navigating difficult feelings, old wounds, or simply need somewhere to talk. Where it’s okay to feel overwhelmed, to not have the answers, or to be unsure of what you need. Clients often tell me I’m easy to talk to, and I do my best to make this space feel both steady and human.
